Motor Show in New York has long been transformed from a local motor show in a major international exhibition. Current Forum, which was opened yesterday, was a continuation of the trend: the leading brands brought here trends that may become bestsellers far beyond the ocean. Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe

Mercedes-Benz has brought to New York GLC Coupe – a compact crossover, which is made in a similar style to the BMW X4. Recall that last year debuted GLE Coupe, very similar to the BMW X6. Judging by the size (length – 4.7 m, height – 1.6 m, a wheelbase – 2.9 m), GLC Coupe is slightly longer and slightly below the rival from Bavaria. Its trunk is bigger too – it can accommodate up to 1600 liters (compared to 1400 l in X4) with the rear seats folded.
In the line of motors nothing revolutionary has happened: here are only four-cylinder petrol and diesel units in volume of 2,0 liters. Diesel version GLC 220 d and 250 d are developing 170 and 204 hp respectively, petrol GLC – 211 and 250 horsepower. All motors are aggregated with automatic transmission 9G-Tronic.
Already in the basic version of the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe received a leather interior, media system with rearview camera, as well as the electric boot lid.

Lincoln Navigator

We’ve learned that the most interesting concept cars are shown at the exhibition in Geneva, but the prototype of the new Lincoln Navigator was represented at the home show. Externally the SUV is very similar to the Range Rover: it has similar optics and the same silhouette. Inside Navigator there are even more unusual solutions. For example, this is the first car that got 30 driver’s seat adjustments, and in the trunk of the SUV is a wardrobe.
Navigator is equipped with a fully digital instrument panel with a large touch-screen and multiple monitors, designed for rear passengers. Novelty got a round view system, parking assistance function in the system, and pedestrian detection. Under the hood of an SUV is installed bi-turbo 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine with 400 horsepower. Americans promised that would release SUV into series production in 2017.
Toyota Prius

For Americans, perhaps the main novelty of the exhibition became the new Prius, which now can be recharged from a household network. Completely fill the battery charge level can be for 140 minutes. On electricity Prius can travel up to 48 km with a top speed of 130 km per hour.

Nissan GT-R

The Japanese brought to New York an updated Nissan GT-R – one of the fastest production sports car in the world. The main index, which has always been proud of the engineers – is the acceleration time to 100 km per hour. Before restyling coupé reaches the first “hundreds” of 2.8 seconds. After updating GT-R became a little stronger, but Nissan still hasn’t declassified its dynamic characteristics.
It has a 3.8-liter supercharged “six”. If in the previous embodiment, the motor power was 540 hp and 628 Nm of torque, the new GT-R develops 570 hp and 637 newton-meters. The engine is paired with a six-speed robotized gearbox with two clutches.
Externally, significant changes Nissan GT-R has not received.
