600-Horsepower Nissan Juke-R 2.0 Test-drive

Sensations are like at the attraction. Price – it costs as gold, and not in gram. Circulation is less than the Bugatti Veyron. It has a collection value, but practicality it is zero. Anyway buying Nissan Juke with a motor of the Nissan GT-R is all the same as to get a fly with gold wings controlled by a smartphone. It seems funny, but why? The answer to this question read in our review.

In 2012, Nissan represented the Juke with an engine from a sports car. At that time the producer called it a concept, and later told about the small-scale release. As a result were produced 21 instances for 590 thousand dollars for each one! Yes, for this money you could buy a Bentley, a house on the Spanish coast and for another small winery will remain some. Nevertheless, the whole edition was sold out. Some cars were bought by Arabs, some settled in Europe and some went overseas.

Supercars in details – W motors – brilliant of fast and the furious and the Middle East.

Meanwhile, the production model has undergone restyling, but the Nissan Juke-R has somehow been forgotten by all. What to do in such situation? That’s right, to release an updated modification with improved characteristics.

If the original Juke developed 485 hp, the version 2.0 (do not confused with an engine!) already produces 600 horsepower! The motor, by the way, is all the same, but with increased pressure turbine and other software.

Mostly modern gasoline engines are with supercharging – what should you expect?

Nissan Juke-R 2.0 looks obscenely “bloated” and a cartoon-evil. Unlike its serial “metrosexual,” it is clearly not for girls. Pay attention only to the arch, from beneath which peeped 19-inch rollers. And yes, it’s small.

Inside all is too masculine: there is no place, nor even the rear seats (their place was taken by GTR transmission). In the presence there is a bucket seat, a frame, GTR display and the instructor from the right side.

Speaking about all the rest the interior of this Juke is not much different from the conveyor one. With the exception of Alcantara and carbon inserts, you are surrounded by the same “oak” plastic, the same air ducts and the same dashboard. Steering adjustment range is meager, rails are too short and it’s hard to move back the seats. It’s unreal even to move, since total of four point belts tighten stronger than the grips. Want to save your life – use a seat belt

About acceleration dynamics  – turbo 3.8-liter (600 hp, 652 Nm) provides three seconds up to a hundred. But even more impressive is acceleration viewed from the side where the exhaust symphony resounds throughout the area, fighting off the concrete bumpers and mountain slopes. 100, 200 … The main thing –  to slow down and get into the turn in time.

While the wheel is the same “lean”, and the brakes quickly “bury” the car, if you react not in time, you can either stop in the middle of the arc, or be outside the track. At such moments, you realize that if a match is not a toy for children, this Juke – is not a toy for adults. This carousel is with rickety fixtures, which at any moment may come to loose. You need to learn to control this car, learn to feel it. That, in fact, it is different from the donor GT-R, which was born to be the most obedient and honed.

This Juke is irrational. It is strange, but it pulls. It ramps and it sounds super-aggressive, and is controlled capricious and perceived as a carousel. The announced second edition of version of the Juke-R is 17 pieces. This is probably incredibly nice to drive this car at least one day. It is really unusual and unique car, which is only destined to control the thousandth of a percent of the world’s population.
