It has been a year since the Lamborghini Huracán EVO was introduced, the latest update of the Sant’Agata sports car. Now that it is well established in the market comes a version that is sure to enchant the most purist public. This is the Lamborghini Huracán EVO RWD, the propulsion variant that repeats once again in the Italian brand range. It is not the first time that this configuration is used (see the Lamborghini Huracán LP580-2) and is the same as that of the Audi R8 V10 RWD.
The main difference with respect to the one with total traction is that in this case the atmospheric V10 of 5.2 liters has had to reduce its power to 610 hp and 560 Nm of torque. Although they are 30 hp and 40 Nm less, it is also lighter and stays at barely 1,389 kg. That means that their benefits are not too damaged. It has an acceleration of 0 to 100 km / h in 3.3 seconds (4 tenths slower) and a maximum speed of 325 km / h (exactly the same as 4WD).
Although it is true that the Lamborghini Huracán EVO RWD does not seek to be the fastest, but to enhance the sensations thanks to that delivery to the rear axle. To improve the driving experience, it has a specific tuning of the P-TCS traction control. In this way, instead of waiting for the car to fully recover stability before delivering the torque again, it goes ahead of that and begins to deliver it earlier to improve the cornering output.
The operation of the traction control will depend on the driving mode chosen. In the Lamborghini Huracán EVO RWD the Strada, the Sport and the Corsa are available. It also adds other benefits such as the electromechanical and servo-assisted Lamborghini (LDS) dynamic steering or the Pirelli P Zero tires on its 19-inch wheels. Optionally there are 20-inch wheels and also carbo-ceramic brakes.
There are hardly any changes at the aesthetic level, the propulsion is distinguished from the all-wheel drive by the new front spoiler or larger air intakes with a frame on the front. A specific rear diffuser with gloss black finish appears on the rear. Inside it maintains the 8.4-inch touch screen with very complete connectivity. Lamborghini Huracán RWD already accepts orders, the first units will arrive in spring and in Europe it has a starting price of 159,443 euros before taxes.
