With current regulations and the objectives that manufacturers have to meet, it is vitally important that they reduce their emissions with more efficient and environmentally friendly technologies. In addition to that, there are many cities that have restrictions and in which it benefits to have an ECO label that gets some advantages. Taking these factors into account, the new micro hybrid diesel versions of the Audi Q5 hit the market.

Since the launch in 2017 of the current Audi Q5, we have always praised its wide mechanical range, with all kinds of options. It was recently completed with the Q5 TFSI quattro, the 367 hp plug-in hybrid with a label of 0. Now they are looking to add below access versions that use the Mild Hybrid technology, so popular in the brand with the four rings, to earn the sought ECO label and be more efficient than before.

On the one hand appears the Audi Q5 35 TDI S tronic with 163 HP and front-wheel drive (before access came with quattro drive), which promises an approved consumption of between 5.6 and 6.2 l / 100km thanks to new technology. The benefits are not very outstanding, but it already manages to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 9 seconds and a maximum speed of 213 km / h. In addition, with a price of 45,050 euros, it is up to 10% cheaper than the previous entry version.

On the other side is the Audi Q5 40 TDI quattro S tronic, which comes with an extra power to reach 204 hp and 400 Nm of torque (+ 14 hp). The 2.0 TDI engine in this version is not only more powerful, it is also more efficient and homologates a consumption of between 6.3 and 7.2 l / 100 km. In this case, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.6 seconds and its maximum speed is 222 km / h. This copy has a price of 52,070 euros.

With the arrival of these two micro hybrids, the Audi Q5 range becomes 75% electrified, something interesting for an SUV of these characteristics. There are also new features in the equipment, as it introduces the digital radio as standard in all versions and completes the technological package (one of the most popular) including the MMI Navigation plus, the Audi virtual cockpit, the rear-view camera and the multifunction steering wheel plus.
