The interior of the new Hyundai Tucson: a strange TV and buttons instead of a lever box

30 Mar

While Hyundai is still preparing for the premiere of the fourth-generation SUV, photo spies continue to gradually reveal the new product. As expected, the cross inside has also changed dramatically.

A few days ago, a video was posted on the Web with the “fourth” Tucson caught in a parking lot in Korea. Despite the fact that camouflaged test samples are still caught in the lenses of paparazzi, we already roughly know what the exterior design turned out to be, because the brand hinted at the next Tucson back in 2019 with the help of the Vision T. show car. illuminated (last year’s “inner world” was not shown), but these were pictures with the front panel covered with fabric. And now on Lee’s YouTube channel, a video with interior shots with virtually no camouflage has appeared.

Perhaps the main thing is that Hyundai has deprived Tucson of the “floating” screen of the multimedia system. The new crossover has a large touch screen built into the panel, while below is another display (probably it is responsible for the “climate”), which is separated from the “multimedia” by a series of seemingly touch buttons. In general, such a complex looks hard.

Steering wheel – like the latest Hyundai Elantra. The SUV also received a digital “tidy”, but this is the prerogative of expensive trim levels, and for analog versions, analog scales are easier to maintain. Well, after many other models of the Hyundai-Kia concern, the crossover got rid of the traditional lever of the box – a button remote control was installed instead. Absolutely new Tucson 2016 implements Hyundai’s motto “New thinking. New opportunities”

According to preliminary data, a 2.5 petrol turbo engine has entered the engine range of the new Tucson, plus the model is likely to receive a hybrid installation (the former Tucson has only a “soft hybrid” version). And the crossover may appear seven-seat modification.

Recall that the current cross in Korea is available with a gasoline “turbo four” 1.6 (177 hp), 1.6 diesel engines (136 hp) and 2.0 (186 hp). The two-liter engine is combined with 8AKP, the rest are paired with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches.

The next-generation Hyundai Tucson is due to debut this year unless, of course, the company changes its plans due to the coronavirus pandemic.
