Putting the car on two wheels is a maneuver within the reach of few. Achieving records such as going to 186 km / h or completing the Nürburgring in this way are feats that some specialists have completed. And in this field Terry Grant is one of the greats. The British has already had several stellar appearances on two wheels and almost every year he drops by the Goodwood Festival of Speed to do some of his own.
In 2011 he started with a Nissan Juke doing the fastest mile on two wheels with a time of 2 minutes and 55 seconds. In 2015 broke all the schemes with the Juke Nismo RS to beat the record with a mark of 2 minutes and 10 seconds. Last year he got behind the wheel of a Range Rover Sport SVR and this year he wanted to improve the brand and show that it is a vehicle with which you can also do some tricks. The SUV of more than two tons is one of the references, one of the fastest in the segment. It recently underwent a face lift to increase its power to 575 HP and 700 Nm of torque. It does so thanks to its supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine, a machine with a radical set-up that allows the Range Rover Sport SVR to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 283 km / h.
Although for this unique test was not necessary all the power, but the expertise behind the wheel of Terry Grant, judging by his expression and by the movement of his hands behind the wheel, keeping the car in that position requires maximum concentration and precision. There are moments that in some curves the body becomes dangerously close to the ground. But as seen in the previous video, he finally achieves the feat of completing the mile in 2 minutes and 24.5 seconds. It must be added that this was the second attempt. Then we leave a sample of a first attempt that would not go as it should because of a wall reaching the end of the route.
