Dimensional Toyota 4Runner is a durable, five-seater, frame SUV with a reputation as a reliable vehicle. On asphalt roads, the standard 4Runner suspension will not allow driving as smoothly as, say, the Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot or Nissan Pathfinder. But the driver will have to try hard to properly ride in any of them in those places where 4Runner feels like home. On the other hand, hard riding a SUV is like being in a truck. In addition, the creation of Toyota lacks many modern technologies of security and assistance. Meanwhile, if you need a full-fledged SUV, 4Runner is what you need.
You’ll like it
If you spend most of your time exploring the remote corners of the planet, 4Runner will be a great company. The SUV has enough power to tow the required weight, can accommodate up to seven passengers and offers a thoughtful all-wheel drive system.
You may not like
If you need a good towing capacity and internal space, but you are not thrilled with the hard drive, a limited number of safety features and a significant level of fuel consumption, Nissan Pathfinder or GMC Acadia will be more suitable options. Fans of off-road driving will suit the Jeep Wrangler.
New in 2017
In the current year, the Toyota 4Runner Trail and Trail Premium models were renamed TRD Off-Road and TRD Off-Road Premium, respectively.
While it’s impossible to argue with the fact of the course stiffness, the suspension of a SUV should not be considered primitive, especially given the decent level of comfort and the ability to make turns. The V6 engine offers 270 horsepower that copes well with significant loads. An excellent addition was the five-speed automatic transmission, although the driver will have to put up with the big appetites of the power unit. Considering the weight and height, the 4Runner cannot cope with sharp turns like a Highlander, but a narrow body is easier to maneuver than full-size rivals. Discontent with the driver can cause the brake pedal, which at first seems too soft, and with a stronger pressure causes the brakes to work too fast.
Best Performance Of Toyota 4Runner
The SUV has a rear electric window that allows you to load things without opening the doors. And the ability to lower the window will help the driver to see what is happening behind, if the dirt has complicated rear visibility. With Bilstein shock absorbers, Nitto Terra Grappler tires and additional protective plates, the TRD Pro Series is able to cope with challenging tasks.
Details about the car Toyota 4Runner
Salon of 4Runner is quite simple, but spacious and practical. Large buttons and dials are extremely easy to use. The large center console is equipped with a 12-watt outlet. Electric front seats are comfortable and offer good support. With the ability to fold the rear seats in the 40/20/40 ratio, the driver gets numerous cargo configurations. In the SR5 and Limited trim levels, seven people can accommodate, but the third row is best left to children, if necessary, it can be fully folded. Exterior
Externally, the Toyota 4Runner 2017 almost does not differ from its predecessors. With the intention of making the SUV looks more aggressive in appearance, Toyota equipped the front end with large boomerang-shaped cutouts and slanting headlights. If you do not like this design solution, they have bypassed the Limited model. All 4Runner models have a familiar box-like shape.
