Stay Safe When Driving In A Rain

9 Nov

Please consider a few simple rules when driving in wet weather.

Use the correct lights

Heavy  rains automatically reduce visibility, however, it does not mean that you have to use fog lamps, as they will dazzle other road users. If the visibility is incredibly poor, you can use them, but do not blind other drivers by your lights.

Increase stopping distance

Yes, that will slow the driving on a road, however,  if you will stop in about twice as long as you stop on a dry road, you will enhance the likelihood of your car skidding and causing accidents.

Try to bypass flood

Driving through the flood is completely unsafe for your vehicle, so think twice before you will do so. It’s better to turn around and find another route. Well ,if there is no other way to get round, drive very slow and do not stop, as any change in a speed may cause water to flow back in a radiator and be ingested into the engine.
