The 20 most popular supercars on Instagram

4 May

Social networks are used by the vast majority of users today, each with its personal focus and purpose. If we talk about purely images (with large doses of “posture” on some occasions), the queen is Instagram without a doubt. That is precisely why it becomes the perfect showcase for all types of vehicles, when more ostentatious, the better. So, let’s go over the 20 most popular supercars on this extended social network.

The data for this study comes from a British company expert in comparators of all kinds. What they did was analyze the two most popular hashtags for each model and add it together to see how many times they were tagged in posts. Some copies were obvious that they would have to appear in the list, while others have surprised by several factors.

Most popular supercars on Instagram are: Lamborghini Aventador, Audi R8, Lamborghini Huracán, Ferrari 458 Italia, Lamborghini Gallardo, McLaren P1, Honda NSX, Ferrari LaFerrari, Bugatti Veyron, Bugatti Chiron, Ferrari 488 GTB, Lamborghini Murcielago, McLaren 720S, Ford GT, Pagani Huayra, Aston Martin Vantage, Lamborghini Veneno, Ferrari F430, McLaren 570S, McLaren 650S.

The supercar that comes out as the winner for its presence on this social network is the Lamborghini Aventador. It is not surprising, since the Italian has been on the market for a long time, establishing itself as a reference model and eventually updating with new versions. The second place is occupied by the Audi R8, something also understandable after having tested it and if to talk about its history. The podium is closed by another Lamborghini, the Huracán, which has always stood out for its spectacular nature.

As can be seen in the previous list, Lamborghini is the most repeated brand, with up to five models among the twenty most popular. Other renowned brands such as Ferrari or McLaren follow with four copies. Some generalists like Honda or Ford sneak in with their most outstanding products; in addition to other super luxury such as Bugatti, Pagani or Aston Martin.

If we analyze the study and the hashtags used to arrive at this classification, we see that in all cases the starting label is that of the full name of the car, that is, make + model. For example, in the first cases they would be #lamborghiniaventador or # audir8. The second most popular hashtag that has also been used is usually the name of the model only (#aventador or # r8), although there are cases that it could not be used because it would not be fair (for example, #gt in the Ford GT).
