Porsche introduced the top-end road version of the Turbo S 911 model 992 coupe and cabriolet. Of course, the supercar has become faster and more powerful than its predecessor: 650 hp. and 2.7 s to “hundreds”.

While many modern super- and hypercars are switching to hybrid powertrains, Porsche is in no hurry to vaccinate its most legendary model: according to the latest unofficial data, the production of hybrid 911s will not begin until the generation change expected in 2026, that is, the 992 series will not affect electrification.

Thus, the new 911 Turbo S is a classic gasoline supercar, which nonetheless incorporates all the latest Porsche technical achievements. The vehicle with the previous working volume of 3.8 liters produces a maximum of 650 hp. and 800 Nm, which is 70 hp and 50 Nm more than its predecessor. The increase in productivity was achieved due to new, larger turbochargers with variable geometry of the guide apparatus (the right and left impellers now rotate in different directions to optimize gas exchange), a new fuel injection system and a more efficient four-channel intake system. Overpressure valves are now controlled by stepper motors. RUF Rodeo Concept, a tribute to the Porsche 911 Safari

The gearbox is an 8-speed “robot” with two clutches instead of the previous 7-speed. The all-wheel drive system with an internal multi-plate clutch can now transmit up to 500 Nm to the front wheels. The acceleration time to 100 km / h was reduced by 0.2 s to 2.7 s, the acceleration time to 200 km / h was reduced by a second to 8.9 s, and the maximum speed was 320 km / h. If you had a Porsche 911, would you put your fingerprint on the hood?

PASM suspension with adaptive shock absorbers and 10 mm reduced ground clearance is standard equipment. An extended track (+42 mm front, +10 mm rear) contributes to better directional stability. The front inflatable spoiler is complemented by controlled air dampers in the front bumper, the area of the retractable rear wing has been increased. Overall downforce increased by 15%. The size of the front tires is 255/35 R 20, the rear – 315/30 R 21.

The basic equipment of the new Porsche 911 Turbo S includes two-tone leather upholstery, a Sport Chrono measuring system and BOSE Surround Sound.

The minimum coupe price is around 210 000 dollars, for a convertible they ask from around 220 000 dollars.

The usual, slightly less powerful Porsche 911 Turbo (without S) of the 992 family will be introduced later. Ahead is also the truly fast RS versions of the new 911. Recall that it was the last generation Porsche 911 GT2 RS that holds the Nurburgring record in the class of road cars.
