Lamborghini Essenza SCV12: atmospheric track monster turned out to be more powerful than the Sian hybrid

Lamborghini continues to exercise with variations on the theme of the middle-aged coupe Aventador and, following the Sian hybrid created on its basis, released the Essenza SCV12 track car, equipped with the most powerful V12 in the history of the Italian brand – 830 hp!

The Aventador SVJ coupe, which debuted in 2018, is still the fastest production car in the Nürburgring (lap time of 6 min 44.97 s). The 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 on this car produces a maximum of 770 hp. For the Sian hybrid, the legendary engine was “fed” up to 785 hp, and in conjunction with the electric motor, the maximum 819 hp are obtained. In the track Essenza SCV12, the naturally aspirated engine produces 830 hp without any hybrid add-on – thanks to racing settings from the Lamborghini Squadra Corse factory team and a reduced drag exhaust system from Capristo. The CFRP body for the Essenza SCV12 is actually redesigned to meet FIA requirements. It does not have an additional roll bar, and the sequential 6-speed X-trac gearbox, which replaced the road 7-speed “robot”, is inscribed in the power structure of the body. The original push rod rear suspension with push rods and horizontal shock absorbers is also attached to it. The drive is exclusively rear.

The racing aerodynamic tail provides 1200 kg of downforce at a speed of 250 km / h. The track, apparently, is significantly widened both front and rear. The magnesium wheels (19 “in front, 20” in the rear) are in Pirelli slicks, the brakes are from Brembo Motorsport. Lamborghini Huracán EVO RWD, here comes the expected version of propulsion

Unfortunately, Lamborghini did not disclose the dynamic characteristics of the Essenza SCV12. For reference, let’s say that the road Aventador SVJ is gaining the first “hundred” in 2.8 seconds, but it has an all-wheel drive system with a Haldex interaxle coupling.

The interior is completely new, with a spartan but highly sculpted front fascia and a formula steering wheel with a built-in instrument panel.
